Premiere Party

On Wednesday, November 10, we had a special Premiere Party, to celebrate all of the winners from the International Media Festival from last school year. Dr. Rodriguez gave every class popcorn and drinks to enjoy while watching the winning projects. The students really enjoyed this special treat, and we are so proud of all of the winners from TCE! Please encourage your child to think of a special project that they can enter into the media festival for this school year, so that they can be our next TCE media festival winner.

CPS

We are having a lot of fun with our smart board this year in kindergarten. One of the tools the students are really enjoying using is our CPS program. Every child gets a remote control to respond to questions on our topic. Our most recent CPS activity was a rhyming game, and the children did a good job choosing the correct answers. What was really fun to hear is Nicolas exclaim "Wow I love this school" when we first used this tool in our class. I am excited too and exclaim just like Nicolas "Wow, I love to see my students enjoying learning!"

Our Favorite Things To Do...

Our class wrote a class list about our favorite things to do in class. This was our first step in the writing process called Pre-Writing. We then took our list of words and added it to a program called Tagxedo. The children were excited to see which words were the biggest, and which words were the smallest. The biggest words were the choices that our class chose the most in our writing activity. Check out our finished project above, and see if you can figure out what activity the majority of our students said was their favorite thing to do!
